This hike was pretty cool. Even though there were other people on the Two Trees trail and the trail that goes to the “M,” we had this trail all to ourselves. An additional surprise were all of the beautiful wildflowers blooming.
Where to Eat: The Sub Station
Very tasty subs! A lot of variety. I got the ham and cheese and my friends got The Big Dude and the Pastrami. Perfect for post-hike hunger!
Distance: 4.80 Miles
Time: 2-3 hours
Seasons: Fall, Winter, and Spring
Parking: Dirt lot. At the time of the hike, we did not pay, but always check the signs and bulletin boards.
What to Bring: Sunscreen and water.
This is fun hike to do in the winter when everything is green and the weather is cool. The summer months are too hot unless you start early in the morning. We took the trail to the left of the dirt road which is more steep and then took the main road back as one big loop. You can also see burros as you drive up to the parking lot!
